2020 was a bitch! It came in, sucked the life out of everything, and has left a trail of destruction. But now we have 2021. A fresh start. What are you going to do with it?
I have some BIG goals going into this year. I think creating goals and intentions is so important. Less about resolutions {which typically get broken before the end of January}, but GOALS!
Let's talk about three of my big goals right now.
1) I'm creating a better home environment. I'm ready to create the time freedom to be more present and available for my family. This will happen in multiple ways I can't get into right now, but I can't wait to spend time with my kids and not be the "not right now" or "in a minute" mom.
2) I'm changing my lifestyle. What does that mean for me? Getting back on track with my physical health. I want to be around to be sitting on the porch as an old woman with my husband watching our grandkids play in the yard. My lifestyle now isn't going to allow that to happen. This means changing both my eating habits as well as introducing more movement into my daily life.
3) I'm taking the time to find myself again. For 15 years, I have been a wife. For 12 years, I have been a full-time mom. For 6 years, I have been a photographer. It's easy to lose your identity when you are focused on being what the people in your life need you to be. I lost who I was as a person, apart from a wife, mom, and photographer. This year, I am going to focus on self-care to remind myself who I am.
I am so excited to take these goals and create daily/weekly/monthly habits to achieve them. These habits are how you crush your goals. Otherwise, they are just big, lofty dreams. You have to find the small, manageable things you can do. That not only helps you accomplish your end goal, but it also gives you wins along the journey to celebrate!
What are some of your goals for 2021? What habits are you going to achieve them?
